Meet the Whatever team!

Built by two passionate girls driven by a love for all things music, skating, and DIY. Originating from the North Texas area, Kar Mercado & Hannah Fulkerson created Whatever Magazine on a rampant whim after bonding over all the same punk bands. Both members of the team set out to create a space that would allow for artists from all over to showcase their media with no restrictions. Inclusivity and passion are our driving purpose for what we do and we hope to bring down more barriers across the music/skate/art scene for everyone!

Kar Mercado

Designer/Editor/Writer/Artist for Whatever Magazine

Born and raised in Texas, Kar Mercado is a Mexican-American artists with many passions. Studying graphic design at The University of North Texas, while also building Whatever Magazine side by side, her mission is to create art that will inspire and lead.

Hannah Fulkerson

Writer/booker/marketing/curator for Whatever Magazine

Birthed in Texas but a fan of everywhere, Hannah Fulkerson is an all out DIY booker for all your favorite local bands. With a love for emo and punk music, Hannah has dedicated the last few years of her life to organizing and directing local band shows from LA to NYC. Her love for music had led her in many different paths, but she always comes back to her true passion, event planning for great music. A writer for Whatever Magazine, Hannah’s hope for this project is to showcase the amazing scenes that her talented friends perform in.
